This file can’t played by  WD TV Live Streaming Media Player 3°gen pal, this file is in wmv 2 called also

Windows Media Video 8 WMV2 DMO-based codec, and is the 8° version of the codec. Your player is compatible with 9° version of wmv, why isn't compatible with a previous version of this codec?

 Thanks for your attention.

p.s.

I’m quite interested about audio desincronization in the first two files.

First, your post is in the wrong forum. This forum is for the 2009 model WDTV Live HD and 2010 model WDTV Live Plus.

The forum for the 2011 WDTV Live Streaming Media Player is here:

http://community.wdc.com/t5/WD-TV-Live-Streaming-Media/ct-p/wdtvlive_streaming

2nd, the info on both of the FLV files says the frame rate is 23.000 fps, not “23.976043”.

I doubt the WD was designed to anticipate such weird frame rates.  99.99% of video (just a guess) is encoded at 23.976, 24.000, 25.000, 29.976 fps, or 30.000fps.   23.000 fps is just — weird.

As to WMV2:

why isn’t compatible with a previous version of this codec?

It just isn’t.  The player can’t possibly be compatible with ALL codecs… Sigma (the chipset mft) had to draw the line somewhere…

Tnx for the reply and sorry for the wrong area, the moderator has moved the post tnx

1)The mediainfo log is wrong, the file were encoded in 23.976043 fps, as video lan client tell. (Also gspot tell the file are in 24.002 fps and ALSO gspot is in wrong)

2)I know all of the guidelines of the Sigma Design SMP8670AD-CBE3 700MHZ, i know also that is a problem of royalties and nothing isn’t impossible with an embedded soc if you want (manufacturer or not) you can do it if you develop your firmware and pay the royalties…

3)Stand up from your throne, you are only an user like me be kind and don’t be so conceited, we are all adult and not kid.

  1.  I suppose, then, that your question should be directed at Sigma, right?   They’re the ones that decided what to include and what not to include in the hardware.  (And yes, it is hardware, not firmware, that does the decoding.)

  2.  I have no clue what you’re referring to.  I was not unkind, nor was I displaying any form of conceit.  I only answered your questions.

Ok.

I tryied to enable and disable the autores function, but the file at 23.976 etc still are not synchronized.

I’ll try other file with other codec and same fps, and i post the results, but i need other answers, and not the “same” answer " the file are **bleep** or so other reply"… the file are not **bleep**…

The file aren’t in 10 bit color depth, and as i know these file supports the stardard, i hope in some useful answers.

Thanks

This a user to user forum and you get what you are given. If it does not offend you how do you know that the frame rate is wrongly detected by media info and gspot.

I’ll give to the community like i gived in a important italian forum, don’t worry i’ll do.

Many thanks for your reply, no problem about your question.

Vlc  , freemakevideo converter, gomplayer tell the fps are  23.976 and in order to fix this error i contacted the creator of mediainfo.

The file are encoded in 23.976 etc fps, but gspot is an old unsopported software, mediainfo still growing…

So can someone tell me if the file are in 23.976 fps, why are not synchonized?

Can it be a fault of the television a Philips 40PFL5007H/12? I try in another television in order to get another feedback.

It’s not be fault of bit color depht 8 bit nor of bit rate (very low bitrate), so what is wrong, if there is something wrong?

Thanks to all

I tried on a sony Bravia kdl 32 p5600 and on a Samsung UE40ES6300, same issue.

I looked in the changelog, because i remember that audio synch problem was fixed in Version 1.10.13  and other version for other codec or container.
