"WD + Turbo" does this speed it up? or can i keep my icons?

on the mac i figured out… the file WD + Turbo installer is what changes the icon from the apple icon to the bull**bleep** eye sore they change it too…

my question is is it worth keeping this thing installed on my macbook pro… does it really speed it up a lot? or will the results only vary by 1 or 2 percent…???

I recently read a post elsewhere that included a WD tech support e-mail reply to this exact question. In short, there is no benefit to using the drivers in Leopard or Snow Leopard.
