WD Thunderbolt Duo failing, WD Support Portal failing

  1. My WD Thunderbolt Duo (warranty up to March 17, 2018) configured as Raid 1 has been dismounting repeatedly. When it was able to stay mounted, checks with WD Drive Utilities (S.M.A.R.T. and quick check) showed no problems. Previously, a pop up message sometimes said the B drive was not available.

  2. So I extracted the A drive to read it in a Sata enclosure, then put it back.

  3. Now WD Drive Utilities sees it and shows it as a JBOD, but the individual disks are not mounted.

  4. The WD Support Portal https://wdsupport.wdc.com/registration/index.asp?wdc_lang=en shows a HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found error.

So, when the WD Support Portal will be available?

And how can I mount the drives so I can save my data elsewhere?

Hardware: MacBook Pro 15, early 2013, macOS Sierra 10.12.6.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.
