If you haven’t already done so yo may want to do a subforum search for “remote server error” using the magnifying glass icon upper right. There are several prior discussions on this error with some possible workarounds. For example see the following discussion:

First thing to try is to uninstall, then reinstall WD Sync. Sometimes that fixes problems with the software.
Second, if you are trying to sync a computer to a remote My Cloud then ensure you can access that remote My Cloud using the MyCloud.com user web portal or using WD My Cloud Desktop or WD mobile apps.
