WD Sync a USB stick

Hi,
I have a 2TB MY Cloud NAS storage device and have been using WD Sync successfully to sync files between it and my laptop PC. I have also successfully done the same with an external hard drive connect to the laptop via USB. Great.

But, I recently have tried to sync a USB memory stick connected to my PC. When I enter the WD Sync add files menu the USB drive is nowhere to be seen! Just the computer hard drive. Windows recognizes the USB drive no problem and assigns a letter to the drive.

Why can’t I see the USB drive in the WD Sync software yet I can see an external USB hard drive no problem??

Many thanks with any help,

James

Hello,

External USB flash drives are not supported by WD Sync.

is a samsung portable ssd t3 considered a “flash drive”? so far I have been unsuccessful in getting wd sync to recognize it as a sync source/target.
