WD Smartware V1.2.0.8 or 1.2.0.7?

Update of firmware to V2.003 was available and apparently installed itself correctly. On WD web site, the update for WD Smartware refers to 1.2.0.7 while WD Smartware windows shows the version 1.2.0.8 as installed in my drive.

Can someone tell me which one of the two versions should be installed?

  • The latest firmware version is Release 2.003 (3/4/10). 

  • The latest Windows SmartWare update is 1.2.1.26 (3/11/10).

  • The latest Mac Smartware update is 1.2.1.25 (3/11/10) Mac.

You should be able to update through SmartWare, or you can go to the SmartWare landing page.
