OK, so since I can remember, OSX has always had a GREAT password / credential / authentication mechanism built right into it. The Developer suites for OSX fully document and support using and implementing it within ALL TYPES of mac software.
Yet, here’s a drive encryption tool that has NO OPTION to interface with it, whatsoever. I can’t have the option to store this password in my keychain.
How could this basic component get overlooked during software development?
I gave up and started using File Vault, Mac OSX’s built-in disk encryption. Why? because I don’t have to enter a second password every time I connect the drive throughout the course of my day.
Also, it’s faster.
