First time user, but WD SmartWare does not allow me to select Set Up Drive in Setup Drive. Backup and Retrieve functions are also unavailable. The help file says to click Preferences to display the Set Preferences dialog on the drive management Drive Settings screen but the later is greyed out (not available).
perhaps the smartware software does not see your drive? what happens if you open your browser and type in http://mybooklive or http://mybooklive/public ?
If those don’t pop up, your PC is not seeing the drive via the router, might need to adjust your dnl settings.
