Hi guys, I have a wdsharespace drive, many years ago I tried to upgrade the firmware, since then I’ve been unable access the drive, is there a firmware download I can access somewhere, best regards Andrew
Since official support for this model has ended, the firmware is no longer available from Western Digital. You can still find firmware version 2.3.01 on alternative sites such as ReByte.me or TousLesDrivers.com, but please use caution, as unofficial firmware carries risks and must match your drive model. To access your data, you can try connecting the drive directly to a computer via SATA or USB adapter. If that doesn’t work or your data is critical, professional data recovery services may be necessary.
There are two methods:
- Manually update the latest WD ShareSpace firmware via the web management interface.
- Use the WD Firmware Updater tool for automatic detection.
