WD SES Drive

Greetings,

I’ve had my WD SES drive “My Book Essential” connected to and 32 bit Win7 PC.  I have upgraded to a Windows 8.1 64 bit computer.  When installed on the new computer the WD Drive connected perfectly.  Seems to works fine.

The driver indicates its on the Driver version is Windows 6.3.9600.16384. (6/21/2006) System32

Is there any benefit by upgrading the driver fo a 64 bit Win8.1 system?

Any help is appreciated.
