WD Sentinel DX4000 replacement driver is invalid

I have had my device one week and a drive failed.  I bought a new drive and installed it and it indicated invalid drive.

The new drive is the same as the bad drive. WD2002FYPS-02W3B1 dated 5/12/2012

What is the next step  to get the drive to work and recover the system?  I am keeping the system power down since I do not what to lose another drive.

I bought this system to backup another failing system and now I have two failed systems.

The new drive seems to have a different firmware

try contacting WD directly for this

Well you are in a pickle :)  The latest firmware has an update for “acceptable” drives.  But since you can not boot up, you can not update it.

I would return the box for a replacement and your drive for a refund.
