I have a WD Sentinel DX4000 that is a member of a Windows 2012 R2 Domain that has its own Root Certificate Server. Right now the DX4000 has its own Root Certifcate Server installed out of the box. Is it possible to remove that service and re-install the certifcate service as a subordinate to my main Root Server, or does it have to be its own self-signed root?
I am 99.5% sure it will break if you mess with cert services. As a rule it is a no no on the Windows Server Esentials SKU’s
