WD Red WD60EFRX replacement

Hi,
I have a NAS - My Cloud Mirror (Gen 2) using 2 WD Red WD60EFRX configured as RAID 1.
Recently it reported that 1 of the drives has disk failure and showing red light. I understand that I should replace the failed disk with the same model and capacity and the RAID can be rebuilt.
The problem is WD60EFRX is an old model and I can’t find it in any shop. All I can find are Red Plus and Red Pro.
Are WD Red, Red Plus, Red Pro compatible with each other in NAS? Is it possible to replace my WD Red with a Red Plus and rebuild the RAID?
If no, what else can I do to recover my NAS?

Thanks.

Have you looked at this and checked the specifications to see what shows?

I have checked. I only see WD Red Plus and WD Red Pro. I can’t find WD Red (specifically WD60EFRX, an old model).
Can I use a WD Red Plus as a replacement for WD Red?

Larger USB hard disks are now available. The old consumer systems are obsolete. A USB 12TB disk sells for about $150. A 16TB is about $199.

Redundancy can be achieved by using 2 or more disks and 7-zip to archive data.

The problem is that I am using RAID 1. And I read that I have to use 2 disks with the same capacity, that’s why I need to replace the faulty disk with a compatible disk in order to rebuild the RAID and recover my files.

The disk model you want is long out of production. This is why I suggest a new direction. Old server disks are common and cheap, so I use a few of them for game collections etc.

Does it mean there is no way to rebuild the RAID and recover my files? My 4TB files are gone…

RAID1 should be readable with one disk

By right, yes. But in my case, it always make my system hang when reading certain files, although it only reports 1 disk failure. So I am trying to replace the disk and rebuild the RAID.

The disk you want is long out of production, time to move forward such as a SATA SSD or more modern is a M.2 SSD which is faster
