I just bought a new Western Digital Hardsisk with 4 TB size. It is the WD Red Pro series.
First of all i want to use it on a Desktop PC with Windows 10. Is this possible or is this already a issue?
Second i connected the Harddisk via USB with an Dockingstation.
Then the Harddisk is accepted by windows and seems to work.
BUT i can’t create a partition or format the Harddisk.
I even bought a Professional partition Software but this doesn’t helps.
All Partion tools are writing it has a Security on the Harddisk. But i dont know how to unsecure it.
Even Testdisk cannot access this Harddisk.
The Software from WD called “Dashboard” shos the Harddisk is Protected. But how to unprotect it it doesn’t wirte there.
Have anyone a clue?
