I have a wd my cloud ext2 ultra with 2 hdd (2 TB + 4 TB) in JBOD.
I want to replace the 2 TB to a 4 TB.
I buy a WD RED WD 40EFRX hdd that is in the list of compatible: https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=906&lang=en#WD_compatibility
but my cloud ex2 ultra does not recognize.
I have tried in the both bais and nothing.
My cloud ex2 ultra is updated with firmware 2.30.196.
What is the problem?

Please try to connect the drive with computer and check if it shows up in the computer or not.
