The Western Digital HDD package promises a free software download to easily clone the HDD. After downloading, cloning is often impossible. You are then directed to pay for a software upgrade. After Western Digital has my data and OS locked up, how is paying more to make the software work not ransomware? Sure smells like ransomware to me.
