What does this do exactly? How does it’s effect differ from 1) powering the drive down and 2) Pressing the “Reset” button on the back of the drive? Once “Shut Down” has been invoked, will there be a WD Quick View option to do the reverse, such as “Restart”, for example?
Shut down and reset are different, you may only reset if you are have issues with the MBL. Quick View does not have an option to restart, you need to unplug and replug the MBL to the power.
So what does the WD Quick View “Shut Down” option do then? And what do you subsequently have to do to make the MBL operational again?
