My CCTV DVR has 2 x 4TB Purple Surveillance drives fitted.

In the disk management section of setup there is a Storage sub section, then S.M.A.R.T. setup.
There are 11 things it reports on from Disk Status to Serial number

Can anyone explain what the HDD TEMPERATURE actually refers to please ?
e.g. is it drive, its case (I do know it is not ambient !
