WD Purple on NAS?

Good afternoon…

I removed 02 hd from a surveillance system, and I have these stopped …

Could I use it seamlessly on a NAS, for storage and network file usage in my company ???

Of course it would not be as ideal as the hd RED … but it would still be more advantageous than using simple desktop disks ???

Hi,

I don’t see a reason why it shouldn’t work. Although is designed for surveillance systems it should work on a NAS.

This unit is compatible with most of the WD NAS units like the PR, EX4, DL lines.
