Wd photos and cloud - Activation code versus email address activation

I’ve got wd photos and wd cloud installed on my android mobile device. Is there any difference between manual activation with the activation code and access by typing in an email address?

I’m wondering if the manual activation means I can get automatic upload without having my photos separated into a bunch of subfolders broken out by month.

Also, if I won’t be going through the wd live web server anymore so won’t have issues whenever the server is down.

Yes.  If you have multiple devices, e-mail address works easier, as it connects to all your devices with one account.

If you don’t use email you must generate code on each device separately to connect.
