WD PC SN740 2TB NVMe SSD

Just bought a WD PC SN740 2TB 2230 NVMe SSD to put in my Surface Pro 7+. I have carefully replaced using an electrostatic wrist band. The drive is recognised, but error occur during installation of Windows 11 and a get a Blue Screen of death. For now I have put my old original SSD back in. Is their a Firmware update for the SN740 to help with drive issues ? Could it be a faulty SSD. Please advise me.
