WD- Password lost

Hello,

I bought half a year ago the WD Passport hard drive and the password saved automatically in my computer. Now I had to reformat the computer and I have put the wrong password 3 times. It tells me that the drive is locked, and I have to open a CD WD Drive and run the application. I do not have that CD.

What I can do?

Depending on your WD Passport’s generation, you can erase your hard drive by typing 5 wrong passwords using WD Security or WD SmartWare. You can download both applications from the following link:
