I bought WDBYFT0040BBK-WESN at Amazon on 8 June 2019; and it stopped working within two months of usage. It’s just not responding though it shows up as a drive in Windows 10. Gone with it are my precious documents and files. I have tried everything from installing update drivers, firmware and smartware; but, the issue persists and the external hard drive is as good as dead. The only option I am left with is to reformat it, which I don’t want to do as it means losing all data. Very very disappointed.
