My WD Passport Ess stopped detecting when i was in the middle of watching a movie and so could not backup data before sending for warranty claim. Is there any way to recover my data from it?

Hi there, if the drive can be seen on a low level then you can try TestDisk, which is a free data recovery software… If not, then you may need to take it to a recovery tech.
