While transferring data from PC to WD Password External Hard Drive sometimes very light tik tik sound is heard. There is no problem with data transferring or accessing the data. I would like to know if it is the usual sound during data transfer or do I need to worry about Disk failure. Is there any way of identifying sounds that are normal and sounds that are abnormal during working of a WD Passport External Hard Drive.
None of my WD Passports “tik tik” or “click”
I would highly advise you backup your data now in case it fails.
Even without any abnormal sounds, you should always keep a backup of your data to avoid worrying about potential disaster.
