WD Passport 4TB Disconnecting Randomly

Hi Everyone !
I bought WD Passport 4TB from Amazon UAE in January 2020 but since last three weeks its disconnecting randomly from my PC even i changed the PC formated the disk but still same problem.
So I’m Thinking of Returning the Drive but currently I’m in Pakistan and RMA is disable in my place of living, So what options I have?
This Drive costed me 15000 Pakistani Rupees which is a lot of Money.
Any help will be appriciated.

There can be various reasons for hard drives to become unresponsive or RAW, which can lead to a data loss situation. Reconnecting the drive won’t help in most cases. The drive remains visible and may be detected by the system if you connect it to another PC, but it doesn’t respond.

Below are a few possible reasons for the drive being unresponsive:

  2. Infected File (Virus or Malware)
  3. Driver issue
  4. Mechanical failure

You can try the below options to resolve the issue:

  1. Run CHKDSK
  2. Use an Antivirus & Anti-Malware tool
  3. Re-install the drivers
