With a WD Net Switch can I access blu ray plays, etc. from other devices and computers on the network the switch is incorporated in? What all can access from say a laptop that I couldn’t without a WD Net Switch?

I don’t understand your question.

The WD Net Switch is just a gigabit ethernet switch.  There’s no magic to it…
