HI, i was copying some files yester day from my protable HDD to my laptop , suddenly HDD disconnected and now its not working properly when connecting it to my laptop it takes lot of time to show the probelm and my laptop even get stuck and the indicator of the HDD blinking continiously, it shows the files and but only the folders, and also it shows the storage correctly , what is the problem.please help, i need to recover the date some how please help me…!
Sorry to hear you can’t access your files, have you tried using another USB cable? Avoid using extension USB cables or USB hubs since they can cause power inconsistencies. You can also try using a data recovery program, using Google you should be able to find several examples.
