My mycloud drive failed after about 24 months. Just outside warranty. I’m not pleased.
For the past six months I had the drive lying on its side instead of standing upright. Could this have damaged the drive?

The My Cloud does not have a fan so laying on its side could have caused overheating. It may have not been hot enough to cause a shutdown but enough to damage the circuitry after 6 months.
