WD MyCloud Mirror Gen 1 - file locations for installing Debian?

I was recently given a WD My Cloud Mirror Gen 1 4TB by a friend. The original firmware is very slow and clunky, and I therefore tried installing Fox_exe’s Debian firmware replacement from https://fox-exe.ru/WDMyCloud/WDMyCloud-Mirror/Debian/ - however I’m not sure where I need to put the rootfs.tar.xz and other two files from the jessie-linux-3.2.40 folder.

Can someone kindly point me in the right direction please?

Hi @FrankEBailey,

Please refer to the article of My Cloud OS 5: Normal Memory Usage:

I’ve got the same question. The info.txt says to flash it with the provided bin file from the WebGUI (in the location indicated by @FrankEBailey ), but I’ve wiped the default system unfortunately and only have access via telnet currently. The info.txt mentions the ‘/dev/md0’, ‘/dev/md1’, and the ‘/dev/md2’ devices, but I’ve got ‘/dev/sda’ and ‘/dev/sdb’ as my disks showing.
