WD MyBook 3TB not recognized by the Quick Formatter

Okay, I’m trying to use my MyBook as a backup device. Windows Backup can’t write to it for some reason, and the solution appears to be to use the WD QuickFormatter to reset the drive to defaults. However, even though the drive is seen by the computer and seen by the Seagate Dashboard, the WD QuickFormatter refuses to recognize that it’s plugged in.

Here is a screenshot showing all the windows open with the relevant information.

Any suggestions?

Hello, on the picture you posted it seem that you are using another hard drive that is not of the WD brand. The WD quick drive format program only works with WD drives.
