WD My Passport Ultra for Mac - Locked All of a Sudden, Out of Nowhere
One day recently, my external hard drive stopped showing up in Finder. The only options I can select are Password related. I believe I did put a password on it a long time ago, but then removed it. The thing is, I’ve tried just about every possible password I could have used for it.
I don’t want to wipe the drive, there’s stuff on it I can’t get back, I think. And I was checking the message boards, and this exact problem has been going on for years. There are multiple posts in this forum about this problem since at least 12 years ago. And the answer seems to always be the same,: that WD doesn’t care.
