WD My Passport SE 1TB problems with WD Mini Player

As the title says i have a WD My Passport SE 1TB, which is password locked, I aslo have a WD Mini Player, the problem being is when i plug in the passport to the player and turn the player on, it recognises the drive, but nothing on it…

Now i think its due to the password, is there something i can do to keep the password on there and access the data on the player, or will i have to get rid of the password in order for the player to recognise the files?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Also WD smartware doesnt seem to want to open on my laptop (HP Pavillion w/ windows Vista) as i read i can reset the password via smartware
