WD MY Passport Portable Drive does not boot or load

I have a 1TB western Digital Portable hard drive with P/N number WDBABM0010BBK-00. Lately, the hard drive is not being detected on any of the OS Windows or MAC OSX and does not boot or load.

However the hard drive powers on and I can feel the servo motors rotating. The hard drive has not fallen ever. The only thing is that whenever I travel overseas it goes to the X-ray machines in my bag.

Please advise.

Try to see if using a different USB cable can help you out, perhaps this could be the issue.

Hi Armak,

Above same issue was there with my WD My Passport 1 TB External Hard Disk S.[[DELETED]]. As suggested by you I have tried with another USB cable but same repeats.

After connecting to LAPTOP it is powering up with LED glowing & I am seeing My passport icon in devices which is not actual name I given but I can’t able to access the Data in it.So Please support to resolve the issue.
