I recently enabled BitLocker on my WD My Passport external hard drive. The encryption completed, but now the drive won’t unlock properly when connected. It either freezes the Windows Explorer or throws an error when I try to enter the password/recovery key.
I’m using Windows 11. Has anyone fixed this issue before? Any workarounds or tool recommendations would be a lifesaver. Thanks!
The WD Passport is not very reliable using bitlocker. I suggest Windows is experiencing errors reading the disk too slow to be reliable.
Thanks for the insight. Do you have any recommendations on what I should do next to access the drive, or is it pretty much a lost cause at this point?
