I bought a WD My Passport external HD.
I noticed that, even if the PC is shutdown (ibernated), the disk keeps spinning for ever and it is hot!
How is it possible??
Does anybody have a solution?

Hi,
First try to connect an external Hard Drive on another PC and then check it. Are you facing the same problems. Is your Hard Drive recognized when you are trying to Pluggin in or not?
Check your PC BIOS setting. Some PC has an option to provide power to the USB ports. Also try connect to other port. In my case years ago, it was the power setting in my BIOS that allow USB to have power, it is for like phone charing…
