WD My Passport - automatic backup?

i bought this drive for this fuction -

“Protect your data automatically—Relax! Your data is safe. Automatic, continuous backup instantly makes a second copy whenever you add or change a file.”

 

I’ve backed up a DIR from my laptop to the drive , made changes to some files , but they are not changed on the WD drive ?

How is this supposed to work ?

Have you tried setting the software to do a schedule backup?

Make sure that you are checking on the right location, if no changes were made to the settings, the software should create multiple copies of the file and might be on a different folder.
