WD My Passport 1TB USB3.0 WDBBEP0010BBK-01 - Problem with Windows 8.1

Hi,

I have a new pc with Win 8.1 for 1 month now. 

My WD My Passport 1TB USB3.0 WDBBEP0010BBK-01 works perfectly using the USB 2.0 port but doesn’t work with the USB 3.0 port. 

When I plug in into the USB 3.0 port (all of them), I see it in “Printer and devices” but in grey. the device manager starts to flash (like if the service restart and refresh itself).

What can be the issue ? I tried with another WD passport and I had no problem.

first make sure the USB drivers and controlers are up to date. Sometimes the USB data gets jumbled up. I sued this on my sister’s windows 7
