Hello there,

I did everything posted on this community. File manager listed the device as Disk 1  unknown and then it prompt me to initialize the device, When i tried to do so, a message pops up stating “incorrect function.”

I just need to recover the info in the device…any way to do that?

I will appreciate any suggestion.

That drive has no encryption, so if it’s seen this way then it’s likely dead.

If recovery software like Recuva, TestDisk or PhotoRec can’t help you then contact a recovery tech, and next time never leave your data alone to it’s faith on a single device, no matter who makes it.
