WD my passport 0740 is not working

i have WD my passport  0740 1TB  when i plug it in my computer it will lode the driver but in my computer it show one drive but i cant to access the drive 

when i double click it ask for formating 

i try to formate it .but it say unable to formate

plz help me

Hello,

As a recommendation, try testing the drive with the WD DLG tool, you will be able to identify if is a permanent issue with the drive. Also you will be able to format the drive from the utility using the option to write zeros and it will be a low level format.

Please note that writing zeros to the drive, will erase all the information on the drive.
