wdmycloud.local should not be your FQDN unless you used “local” as the domain name for your local/lan network, which is NOT a good idea. See “.local” at wikipedia for an explanation. mDNS/zero-config/avahi/Bonjour use .local for the multicast suffix (IP 224.0.0.251), other than maybe in the Windows world. On your router, you should set your local domain name to something like “lan” or “home”. I am able to access my NAS by http OR https using wdmycloud.local, wdmycloud.lan, or the IP address.
Clear cookies and cache, Its trying to give you the Terms of Service page I think? If all else fails do a soft reset hold the button on the back for 10 seconds and if that fails do a hard reset which just resets system settings to factory. unplug, plug in while holding reset button 40 secs, your /data is safe as the these resets dont delete anything just restores settings…
