WD My Cloud Home's Ethernet disconnect every 40 minutes if no internet.

I bought WD My Cloud Home 4 TB in Thailand.

I choose this because a basic SMB guess access matched my use cases.

  1. I use this as a SMB file storage for games rom. in this scenario I put WD My Cloud Home attached to my local network. No internet.

  2. I occasionally use this to store some video from my iPhone My Cloud App. in this scenario I put WD My Cloud Home attached to my home internet router.

I found very serious issue that in first scenario the WD My Cloud Home’s Ethernet will keeps disconnect every 40 minutes. around 2-4 sec the Ethernet will be reconnected and up again.
This cause file transfer interruption.

In 2nd scenario is working normal no Ethernet disconnection.

This is very clear for me that no Internet will cause the WD My Cloud Home’s Ethernet to disconnect and reconnect.

This can be fixed by firmware update only

Anyone know how to raise this issue directly to WD firmware dev team?

This is extremely very serious for me. If no firmware fix. I will ask a full refund or file a law suit to WD.
