Hello. I have a WD My Cloud Home unit laying around that I am interested in bringing back to life. I took out the hard drive and wiped it as there was no secure way to delete the data that was on it before selling it. I thought I could put a new HDD in it and it will work but to my surprise there is no way of restoring the software or the partitions that were on the device before wiping the drive. (Unlike the Synlogy that I use now) If anyone has an idea how to make any use of this hardware I would apreciate the info. I put a 500GB HDD in it and would like to get it to work.
