WD My Cloud EX2 performing endless scan

Hi all,

I have been entrusted by my family member with a NAS WD MyCloud EX 2 that somehow strated behaving in a strange way…it started to create an insane amount of “shared folders” with the same name + number.

After reboot, we had been stuck at the login screen to the dashboard saying that it is trying to scan/reinitialize the system after power loss. This has been going for 3 days and it is still stuck. I can get to the twonky site, but that is about all.

I have unplugged both drives, connected to my PC, discovered they are in RAW format and seems empty. After a while I have managed to salvage some data from those drives, so not all is lost. But the question is, if I can somehow revert back, maybe by formatting drives to NTFS or something. Is there a way how to start from scratch?
