WD My Cloud app suddenly can't connect (Mac)

Hello all,

Everything was working fine until this morning when My Cloud app suddenly and for some unknown reason won’t connect to the drive. The drive itself displays in ‘Search for devices in my network’, ‘Show previously connected devices.’, etc. I have been getting a blank grey screen when launching the app over the past week or so, but a relaunch would enable to connect. Now no blank screen but a failure to connect. Weird? Can anyone help please?
WDMyCloud-Dashboard.webloc doesn’t connect either.
So, in short, none of the methods WD supply to connect the drive are now working.
I can connect via Finder by the way which leads me to think that the app/s are broken. Is this the case WD?

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried resetting the unit or reinstalling the app?

Thanks ERmore. Just tried, not even the uninstaller works. Will keep going though with AppDelete and see how we go. Stay tuned.

Fantastic!! Tried a power on reset which worked. It took a little while to reboot, i.e. for led light to go from white to blue but we got there. Thanks again ERmore.
