I have a WD My Book Studio Edition II 4TB from 2012 and it’s working perfectly with firewire 800 connection in my iMac late 2009. Now i want to upgrade my workstation to a mac pro with thunderbolt connections and no firewire.
Can i connect my WD to a thunderbolt connection with the apple adapter??
Please help me i you are using this type of connection and it’s working !

I have never tried this type of adapters since they are not supported. Lets see if any other user has tried this and can share some information on this topic.
