WD my book install to ubuntu

Hello. I have a WD my book external hard drive…
I used to back up files in my windows computer,but now i have switched to ubuntu linux…

Drive is password protected and Unlock.exe seems not to work,so i cannot acess my hard drive. What should i do ?
Should i format the hard drive or do anything else? It is formatted using the FAT filesystem i think.

Look at the drive specifications, is Linux listed there? If not it’s probably not compatible.
