Wd my book essentials

Hi,

I’ve a WD My book essential 2TB and while updating the firmware, it’s stopped working.

Power light is on but not initializing in my PC after that, but showing a device installed as ‘Inito Default Controller’ in devices and printers…All my official and personal data are in this EHD.

My OS is windows 10 Pro.

Could anyone please help me with this?

How is the drive showing under disk management?

Have you tried using a data recovery software to see if you can get some data out of the drive?

WD is not showing under disk management.Only this showing is under Devices and Printers as mentioned before.
