Hi,
I need help to find a solution about my (WD My Book Essential Edition 2.0) external drive which freezes my hp laptop.
It creates a repeated click sound when I connect the data cable to my laptop and when I removing the data cable then it spins normally. The drive was working fine few days ago, I was able to copy some data within it and and suddenly it’s giving this strange behavior of freezing my laptop when I connect it.
The drive also does not show up either in disk management neither in WinDlg utility. I also changed my data cable and tried to connect to different USB ports on my laptop but no luck so far…
Any ideas to make it functional or any thing to get it connected would be much appreciated…
