PLEASE HELP!!
Hello, I bought this external Malaysia 6years back, works fine, recent 1month getting problem - detect then suddenly after 10-15mins off, then recently within seconds detection off, unstable, so i stop use it for a 4-5days.
2days back i needed my external everything in are very important for me, i went on buying both cables - the the data & power cable, but the same issue!!!
Yes, not recognized on computer management!!! - this make me worried a lot as i have all my work files on that!!
the power white light is on so hdd is i think gud, what is the solutuion?? how can i repaire it??
am not gud on electronic reparation but i will managed!

Well, there can be various reasons for an HDD to become unresponsive. Reconnecting the HDD won’t help in most of cases. The HDD remains visible and may be detected by the system if you connect it to another PC, but it doesn’t respond.

I have already premium version of Malwarebytes & Bitdefender!
I don’t think bad sectors as i did format my hdd 6months back, did all test possible including bad sectors, there wan’t one bad sector as expected as i only copy & paste files in that & usage : twice to trice a week for 2-3hours max!
i will run the chkdsk tonight,
re-install which drivers? the wd drivers? i will do that too
